The elves have been busy
Around here, the elves have been knitting and knitting.
I happened to have a few skeins of Noro Daria in the stash from last year's sale. This beautiful pattern came out last week in Magknits. Kisses to Grumperina.
I think it will make a great present!
The elves finished up a couple of scarves for my favourite kiddos, E and K. Knit lengthwise on size 11's, these took no time at all. The frogs are from IKEA. Their mouths open up to hide lots of goodies!
I'm also knitting a Yorick for X-Mas. I wrote a great post the other day, which Typepad promptly ate. The basics-Fog Colourway, Knitpicks Ambrosia, 2 balls, Adrian's fault. I think the second skull (on the right) came out a bit better, but felting fixes everything, right? I need about one good day of car knitting to finish up and I'll be ready to graft.
Tonight, I knit a Knecklace. Sorta. Folks, don't skip that long tail cast-on. I did. Guess what-those stitches don't drop right! It ends up as a mess if you ignore that crucial instruction. Despite the online tutorials, thus far I just can't get it. I'll try again tommorrow.
A bit more yarn loveliness from yesterday's orders:
Nummy Aurora 8.
This post is brought to you by Kali, the one *in* the *diet* kitty food. Not even going for the real stuff.

Those frogs are too cute. I love the color combo of your balls of Aurora. What are they going to be made into?
