There are about a million things going on right now. I'm choosing to ignore most of them and either shop or window shop for clothes, shoes, jewelry, or yarn.
Which brings me to the Mission Falls Recollection book. which I don't yet own, but should. I'm in love with the Aimee sweater, but I can't decide between the pullover and the jacket.
From the pictures, the pullover seems "brighter" to me, not that I couldn't change the colours for the cardi. The neck would have to go for the pullover. Turtlenecks need not apply in my household. As for the cardi, I've never knit one in my size, and i'm wondering (this could be drugs talking) if this might be the cardi to learn how to steek? Of course, that's if I decided to do it in wool, 1824 wool subs out in cotton so nicely, which would get more wear? Decisions, decisions!
Not that I don't have, oh a sweater or five around here to knit already.
Speaking of sweater knitting, the first two colours of my Spin-over are done! The third is off the bobbin but not photographed. Yarn #4 is presenting quite an issue, so it may be time to rethink a few things. But first, we should admire greens and blues!
My first try at painting my own top is also spun and plyed.
which previously looked like this:
Lessons learned: more dye, brighter colours, less white for brighter yarn.
Hopefully I'll learn more tips here in a few weeks at YARN SCHOOL! Woo Hoo!
